A lot of fanvids are just a bunch of clips thrown together to a maybe-appropriate song. This is not one of those. In fact, even if you're not into comics or superheroes or Cap in particular the song itself is amazing and I recommend giving it a listen.

Went to Dragon's Lair for Free Comic Book Day. Glad we went early because the line was insane by the time they opened. Got a giant pile of comics, a groovy paper Iron Man Mask and an awesome Captain America bookmark. Another part of the giantest review of The Winter Soldier ever - this time it's about the costumes and design. Not sure I agree about the fights. I mean yeah, they could have been a little less shaky in places but they did not approach the level of shaky-cam that makes me twitch and there were plenty of spots where they paused to give us a breather ( Read more... )

...of Captain America, which includes The Winter Soldier and Civil War and is 1000 kinds of awesome. It's interesting to see what they decided to use and what they (wisely) did not. Visually TWS is very similar to the books except for the fact that in the movie he has a getup that actually makes him unrecognizable instead of the goofy little mask. ( Read more... )

The Winter Soldier's theme is some scary-assed horror movie type stuff. I love it. Gotta see this thing again.

Cap 2 was amazing. Hannibal was WTF-tastic. The Galaxy beat the snot out of Chivas (as expected). Sunday's Formula 1 race in Bahrain was the best I've seen yet and Lewis Hamilton won. The season premiere of Game of Thrones was a thing of beauty.

Pretty freakin sweet.
